Lawrence Power - Viola

Mr. Power will perform Beethoven's String Trios in D Op.9 No.2, in C minor Op.9 No.3 and in G Op.9 No.1 and Duo in E flat for viola & cello WoO.32 with violinist Vilde Frang and cellist Nicolas Altstaedt in the Queen Elizabeth Hall on the 19th of April 2020.

He will perform with the Elias String Quartet on the 1st of February 2020.

He performed on the 21st of October 2019.

He played Gerald Barry's Viola Concerto with the Britten Sinfonia on the 21th of May 2019 at the Barbican Hall. For full programme details see Thomas Adès. He also performed Violin Sonatas in F minor Op.120 No.1, No.1 in G, No.2 in A and No.3 in D minor by Brahms with Pavel Kolesnikov at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on the 12th of May 2019.

He performed Sir Harrison Birtwistle's world première of Duet for 8 Strings for viola and cello on the 12th of April 2019. For further details of the programme see Nash Ensemble.

Mr. Power played Salonen's Pentatonic Etude at the Royal Festival Hall on the 1st of June 2017.

He played Julian Anderson's Prayer for solo viola and Walton's Viola Concerto with the Philharmonia Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall on the 12th of February 2017. For more details see John Wilson.

Mr. Power joined The Nash Ensemble at the Wigmore Hall on the 7th of February 2015 in a performance of Brahms's Piano Quintet in F minor Op. 34.

He made his BBC Chamber Proms debut on the 28th of August 2006 at the Cadogan Hall together with the Leopold String Trio and made his BBC Proms debut on the 9th of August 2003 in Berlioz's Harold in Italy Op 16.
