Unfortunately, Mr. Douglas' performance of works by Tchaikovsky's scheduled for the 6th of May 2020 at the Wigmore Hall was cancelled due to the pandemic.
Mr. Douglas played Tchaikovsky's Selections from The Seasons and Grande Sonata in G major, Schubert's Sonata in A minor D537 and Rachmaninov's 6 Moments Musicaux on the 6th of April 2019 at St. Luke's.
He is the artistic Director of the Clandeboye Festival.
Mr. Douglas gave a master class on the 17th of November 2017 in the Royal College of Music.
Barry Douglas is one of the few British artists to have won the Gold Medal at the Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition, Moscow. He achieved this feat in 1986 and has since performed both as soloist and with Camerata Ireland, a chamber orchestra founded by Mr. Douglas in 1999.
