Kitty Whately replaced Sarah Connolly on the 10th of April 2017 at the Wigmore Hall and Michaela Selinger replaced her on the 8th of April 2017 at the Royal Festival Hall in a performance of Mahler's Symphony No.8 which also starred Matthew Rose.

  • Some of the UK's top musicians united under the direction of Nicolas Nebout to raise money for Syrian refugee children. The programme included Beethoven's 5th Symphony, Mahler's Kindertotenlieder with internationally acclaimed Sarah Connolly, and a world premiere by award-winning Syrian composer Malek Jandali - all profits went to UNICEF.

Sarah Connolly made her BBC Proms debut on the 28th of August 1988 in a performance of Vaughan Williams's Serenade to Music and she made her Royal Opera debut as Dido in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas in 2009.
