Unfortunately, John Wilson's concert on the 25th of April 2021 at the Royal Festival Hall was cancelled due to the pandemic.
His concert scheduled for the 5th of November 2020 was also cancelled.
Mr. Wilson conducted the Philharmonia Orchestra and Benjamin Hulett in a live streamed concert of a works Elgar, Britten's Serenade for tenor, horn & strings and Vaughan Williams' Symphony No.5 in D on the 15th of April 2021.
John Wilson conducted the London Symphony Orchestra in two performances of Bennett's Partita for orchestra, Gershwin's Lullaby and Dutilleux's Le loup on the 21st of January 2021 at the Barbican Hall.
John Wilson conducted the Philharmonia Orchestra and violinist Leonidas Kavakos in a programme including Korngold's Violin Concerto in D Op.35, Barber's Essay No.1, Op.12 and Elgar's Symphony No.3 (sketches elaborated by Anthony Payne) on the 27-Feb-2020 in the Royal Festival Hall.
Mr. Wilson made his BBC Proms debut on the 1st of August 2009 with a celebration of classic MGM Film Musicals.
He was born in Gateshead.
