The trio consists of violinist Lucy Gould, cellist Richard Lester and pianist Benjamin Frith.
Richard Lester replaced Alice Neary as cellist in 2019.
The trio performed Mozart's Trio in E k.542, Korngold's Trio op.1 and Brahms' Trio in C op.87 on the 16th of February 2020 at the Conway Hall.
Beethoven's Piano Trio in Bb Op. 97 'Archduke' performed in 2015 (January).
Schubert's Piano Trio No. 1 in B flat major D898 performed in 2021 (March).
The trio performed Kirchner's I. Zwiegesang, II. Humoreske, IV. Scherzino, V. Novellette, VII. Barcarola, X. Mädchenlied and XII. Abendmusik from Bunte Blätter Op. 83 and Brahms' Piano Trio No. 1 in B Op. 8 on the 13th of May 2019 at the Wigmore Hall.
Richard Lester became the principal cellist of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe in 1989, is a founder-member of Domus and is also co-director of the annual Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival in East Sussex.
Lucy Gould studied at the Royal Academy of Music and at Indiana University Bloomington.
Benjamin Frith is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and also formed the Frith Piano Quartet.
He won the Gold Medal at the Artur Rubinstein Piano Master’s Competition in 1989, and also won the Dudley National Concerto Competition in 1971.
The Trio made their BBC Chamber Proms debut on the 26th of August 1996 in the Britten Theatre.
